Introduction

One thing that drives many webmasters is to find products that will bring profits. It can be your product or a vendors product. But if you start with the product first, you will have to take a step backwards. You first must provide a content-rich website.

Without a good website, you will have no traffic. If you have no traffic, you will have no money coming in.

And if your website is not "meaningful" to the search engines and directories, you will have no traffic.

Search engines and directories abhor sites that are not full of relevant content (including free sites). They are driven by profits. They make profits from advertizing. They do not want to place their precious ads on crummy sites. If some one is making a search and comes up with an unrelevant site he will not click on the ads placed there by the search engines. In fact, such site will be so far down the depths of the search pages, it may as well not be listed at all. You need to be on the first page for a keyword search (or at least the second page).

If you look for profits first by finding products, then do your homework!

Having Your Own Product(s)

If you have an original, distinctive product that is not available on the Internet or in markets and stores, you could have an Internet Winner. It is a big advantage to have your own products. If you don't have a product, you might be able to create one. Rely on your hobby and vocational experience to create a new product. You can write an ebook and sell it on ClickBank. That way you will have many clickbank affiliates selling your product for you. You will have to pay them a commission but since it cost you nothing to publish the ebook and the affiliates will sell so many more than you would by yourself, you could make lots of money. There is a reasonable fee to set it up but it certainly will not break the bank ($50.00 at last look).

Make Money On The Internet With Vendor Products

You can sell other peoples products for a commission. These sells are called affiliate sells. There are thousands of products you can sell on the Internet.

If you Google (or other search engine) "affiliate program" you will find many sites. I just did that and found 65,300,000 sites. However, to start, I suggest you use ClickBank.com and CJ.com and the other major sites. But don't overlook programs that are managed internally in a particular company.

ClickBank Isn't the Only Digital Product Network

Most affiliate marketers fail. That is the sad truth. It takes a lot of perseverance and knowledge to succeed in this business. Most all of us sell ClickBank products. However ClickBank is not the only digital product network. So why restrict yourself. Why not go to a network that is not so crowded and cut down the competition a bit? You will not only cut down on the competition but you will have many more good products to offer. And you can put up your own products very easily at little or no cost to you.

An affiliate manager can be a big help to an affiliate marketer. He can help you generate sells and he can give you special opportunities to earn one heck of a lot more money.

If you use dropshippers you can sell products directly on eBay, Amazon, and other such sites. I have been selling products for years from my own site. I get the order from PayPal, send the order by fax to my vendor, notify the customer that I have received the order and when he or she will recieve the product. That's it! I don't pack and ship the product nor even see the product. The vendor does the work and I collect the money. What could be better than that?
